Throughout its several hundred years of history thriving in the sericulture industry, Cổ Chất has become a renowned traditional silk reeling village, both domestically and internationally.
Silkworm Cocoon
The artisans of Cổ Chất are extremely skilled and meticulous. They categorize silkworm cocoons based on quality, then place the cocoons in a pot of boiling water, constantly stirring until the cocoon shell peels off.

The delicate silk threads are continuously spun into silk bowls, and when they are thick enough, they are transferred to the silk reel, pinned, and then the silk is removed to dry in the sun. This is called raw silk.
Raw silk is dried under the sun before being spun into finished threads for weaving silk.
The lyrics lead us back to the traditional village of Co Chat, located in Phuong Dinh Commune, Truc Ninh District, Nam Dinh Province, nestled peacefully beside the gentle Ninh River.

The artisans in the village typically produce silk using traditional methods as a habit and because of their deep love for their hometown's traditional craft.
